Reason 1. Be your own Chief. Starting a business from home puts you in charge of your work. You make all the decisions about what to do and when, and you never have to answer to another person again.
Reason 2. Work when you want to. Especially for work-at-home moms or dads who want to spend more time with family, this can be a strong motivator. Being able to set your own schedule and hours means you can work around your familys activities. Flexibility equals freedom.
Reason 3. Freedom to do what you want. Being the boss and able to schedule your work hours gives you the freedom to do what you want, when you want to, and with whom you want to do it. It gives you far more control of your life.

With unemployment numbers extremely high, everybody is looking to make a few extra bucks these days. Many people are turning to work at home programs... But, which ones are REAL and which ones are SCAMS?
We just had to find out... So we set out to do some research ourselves. We came across a blog by Kelly Nelson of Buffalo, NY.

Ocotea (Oak-a-taya)
Ocotea essential oil is extracted from the steam and leaves of the ocotea tree in Ecuador and is related to the cinnamon species. This essential oil has an aroma that is different from any common. Ocotea has the highest level of alpha-humulene of any essential oil. Alpha-humulene can balance the body's internal response to irritation. Only copaiba essential oil has comparable levels of this natural plant compound. It also contains Eucalyptol which works on the lungs.
Powerful anti-inflammatory reduces swelling, Candida. e-coli.

Product Story:
Ocotea is wild crafted and distilled at Finca Botanica Aromatica, Young Living's farm and distillery in Ecuador. Ocotea is harvested from a large tree found in the Amazon Basin of Ecuador, from sea level up to 1,500 meters in altitude. The trees are divided into male and female trees, with only the female trees producing foliage suitable for distillation of essential oils. Historical usage of ocotea dates back more than 500 years, when it was used to aromatize sweets and cakes.
How to use:
1-4 drops with V-6. Topical: test on a small, inconspicuous area of the skin to observe sensitivity; apply to desired location as needed.
Dietary Supplement: Dilute 1-4 drops with V-6. Place in capsule and take one daily or as directed by a health professional.
Ocotea is also found in Stress Away Roll-on.
Copaiba (Co-pie-eba)
Copaiba essential oil is extracted from the oleoresin of several different species of Copaifera, including multijuga, langsdorffi, and reticulata. Traditionally used in Native American recipes, today copaiba is featured in European and North American pharmacopeias. This powerful essential oil has traditionally been used to help digestion and support the body's natural response to injury or irritation. Copaiba is 70-90% sesquiterpene's which cross the blood brain barrier (increases the oxygen into the cells).
With the high levels of beta caryophellene, gamma elemene, and alpha humalene, it's used in the past to aid the natural processes of redness and irritation of body tissue.* Reduces swelling, inflammation, protects the gastric system, very aggressive on melanoma cells, aches & pains, arthritis, wounds.

September 29, 2011 28Young Living’s 2011 Convention not only introduced new and exciting products, but it also brought us some newly reformulated ones. One of the products that received buzz from attendees was reformulated AlkaLime™. As I mentioned in a past blog, I had the opportunity to prepare and distribute product samples at the Product Expo. Everyone raved about AlkaLime’s flavor, but many people had questions concerning its improved benefits. Based on these questions I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.
Question: Why reformulate AlkaLime?
Answer: We wanted to more precisely balance the sodium, magnesium, potassium, and calcium mineral levels. We were also able to improve the product taste and smell, increase solubility, and enhance the fizz/effervescence activity.
Question: How did we improve the flavor of the product?
Answer: We adjusted the lemon and lime essential oil levels, added an organic whole lemon powder, and slightly sweetened with natural stevia.
Question: Should I be worried about stevia as an ingredient?
Answer: No. We use only high-purity Rebaudioside A (Reb-A) stevia, which is an all-natural alternative to sugar with zero calories.
Question: How did we improve the effervescence?
Answer: By increasing citric acid and reducing carbonate salts, we were able to create a more effervescent product and improve its solubility.
Question: What are biochemic salts and why were they added to the product?
Answer: Gary added 8 of the more common 12 tissue salts (also know as Salts of the Earth) present in all cells to the newly reformulated AlkaLime. When at optimal levels, these salts assist the body’s individual cells process minerals better and faster. In a nutshell: Health issues in the body may arise when deficiencies of one or many mineral salts exists. AlkaLime may help restore this cellular balance.
