What is the essential oil of Frankincense?

What is the essential oil of Frankincense?

Frankincense is considered the holy anointing oil in the Middle East and has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It was well known during the time of Christ for its anointing and healing powers and was one of the gifts given to the Christ child. Frankincense was valued more than gold and only those with great wealth possessed it. Researchers today have discovered that the oil is high in Sesqueterpines, which helps stimulate the limbic system of the brain as well as the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands. It is stimulating and elevating to the mind and helps in overcoming stress and despair, as well as supporting the immune system.

Hello Friends and Pet Lovers,

In keeping with the season I thought it would be appropriate to talk about the very special essential oil given to the Christ Child by the Wise Men-FRANKINCENSE. This oil has been researched and developed in modern day by Dr. Gary Young, one of the pioneers in the rebirth of essential oils in North America in the last 20 years.

Frankincense is steam distilled from gum/resin of the plant Boswellia carteri. This plant originated in Somalia, but is now grown and processed in North America. There are numerous biblical references to Frankincense over 52; some specific quotes are Exodus 30:34, Leviticus 2:1, and Leviticus 2:2.

Frankincense is also known as Olibanum or Oil from Lebanon. The actual name Frankincense is derived from the Medieval French word meaning real incense Having trouble with remembering the spelling? I always remember it as Frank-Incense.

This wonderful oil is considered as the holy anointing oil in the Middle East and has been used in

religious ceremonies for thousands of years. During the times of Christ it was used to treat every conceivable ill known to man and was well known for its anointing and healing powers. It was actually valued more than gold during ancient times, and only people with great wealth and abundance were able to possess it.

Today research has discovered that Frankincense helps to stimulate the center of emotions in the brain known as the limbic system. It also stimulates the Hypothalamus, known as the master gland of the body, which regulates the release of many hormones including thyroid hormone and the bodys own cortisone cortisol. Frankincense is being investigated in Europe for its ability to improve human growth hormone production.

Medical indications for Frankincense include the following: Asthma, depression, and gastric ulcers. It

helps stimulate and elevate the mind, and contributes to the bodys ability to overcome stress and despair.

It also is known to help the immune system. It has been used by many for help with allergies, insect and

snake bites, bronchitis, cancer, respiratory infections, headaches, herpes virus infections, high blood press, inflammation and stress. It is able to penetrate the blood brain barrier, which is believed to be responsible for much of its direct action on the brain. It enhances the activity of leukocytes, which assists in the bodys defense against infections.

In humans it is used to increase spiritual awareness and assist with meditation. It improves attitude, uplifts spirits thereby helping the immune system. Frankincense is one of my favorite oils. I use it topically daily on myself. I use it on many cancer patients, in topical ear products, and in any endocrine disorder such as hypothyroidism. It may be applied directly to the skin, or it may be diffused (nebulized) into a room. Heating Frankincense to aerosolize it into a room is NOT a good idea because heat destroys the molecular structure of the oil. Also, it is flammable.
Frankincense is special oil that seems to uplift spirits of both people and pets and may be diffused

into a room using a non-heating nebulizer to create a very peaceful and pleasant environment.

It may be used as a companion oil with virtually any other essential oil.

Yes, it is one of the most expensive oils I use in my practice, but I believe it really is a beneficial oil

in many medical cases.

I hope you all have a very joyous holiday season. Thank you all for your support this past year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Subject: Kouwe Now I can see--- Frankincense and improved vision testimonies

Thank you Kathy for sharing these testimonies with us. I to have a testimony from using Frankincense, wolfberry
eye cream and I suppose the NingXia Red for improving my eye sight. I too needed glasses for far sightedness and nearsightedness. I no longer need the far sightedness and at time only for near sightedness. If I am tired then I need my glasses to read with, but most of the time I do not. Someday I will be able to throw them away. Nancy Sanderson

Subject: Eye glasses no longer needed

Hello my fellow oilers,

I have 4 new testimonies on vision improvement for you and would also like to add that I used to wear glasses for distance. I was not trying to improve my vision so I can not say exactly what did it, but in my opinion it was the Young Living supplements and the oils. I do not go a day without them and everything in my life has improved. I have not worn glasses for several years now and that really makes me happy. Please feel free to improve your life in any way I can.

Dear YL Success Seekers,

Michael S. Lewis writes:

It is my pleasure to give my testimony. At birth there was complications which had led to blindness in both eyes, P.R. & M.D. in the right eye.

When I heard about the Young Living Oils I was willing to try anything. I started using Frankincense, one of the Young Living Oils by rubbing on my upper eye lids and back of my neck. Plus what enhanced it even more I used a hot pack for 15 minutes. It has been a miracle for me. In less than a week I started seeing light and color. It was six weeks later I was able to get my day time drivers license back. And to make even better I had help finding a part time job.

I want to give a big THANKS! to Young Living.

Dear oil people

Funny thing... I lost my eyeglasses for about 2 weeks. I have been using Wolfberry eye cream now going on 3 months. I found my eyeglasses and found that I did not need them anymore. I no longer get headaches from squinting as I had to before. That cream is the only thing I can contribute to me regaining my sight. I apply it to my eyelid as well as under my eye above the cheek bone in the tissue paper skin area...if you know what I mean. Peace,

Carol Mciloil

Dear Leanne and OIL Joyers,

I just got back from an appointment with a behavioral optometrist, who is an eye care professional who believes that vision can be healed, or at least improved, in many cases.

My prescription is so strong that I am weaning off my glasses with weaker prescriptions.

I am also using Frankincense, and many other oils.. A big part of behavioral optometry is relaxation of the eye through breathing and other exercises: recognition that the eyeball is a flexible organ that changes
shape as we look far or near. A fixed focal point prescription lens contributes to rigidity, and causes deterioration and strain.

To get to YLEO, relaxation and breathing equals MORE OXYGEN! Thats what EOs contribute! Also Vision takes place in the brain, not the eye itself, so that is where Frankincense and other high sesquiterpene oils play a part also, why consistent use of many oils may have the side effect of improving vision. Belief and choice for each of us also plays a role.

The man who wrote the Book on healing vision is Dr. Jacob Lieberman, title: Take off your Glasses and See. The book has an index of eye care professionals, and behavioral optometrists listed by state.

I am excited to go to an eye doctor who is telling me I can turn back the clock on my eyes. My eyes can get younger, at least as regards vision... It is a gradual process, and I am writing this so that I can share withyou how behavioral optometry, YLEO, and my inner vision will recreate my sight.
